More than 500,000 blocks have been used by Pavians to build the grand Town Hall, which was finished in record time.
Just 18 days after starting the project, the Crown Prince and the Duke of Windermere today officially opened the new state-of-the-art Town Hall in Pavia.
In a strong show of support for local industry, Pavian workers placed more than 250,000 blocks to complete the exterior of the building.
An additional 250,000 blocks of stone were needed to reinforce the structure.
Crown Prince BritishWanderer II said today’s opening was a historic milestone for the community as the first new building to open in Pavia since it was founded.
“This has been an astonishing display of Pavia’s ability to not only build but also our immense logistical capability to gather, organise and transport construction material to the places it needed to be in such a short amount of time”, he said.
